Have you ever felt your summer break fly by so quickly, you barely had time to enjoy it?! Then Episode 21 with Jodi Wellman (and this famous Ferris Bueller quote) is definitely for you!
Jodi Wellman is a speaker, leadership coach, and facilitator on living lives worth living. She founded Four Thousand Mondays to help people make the most of their time while they’re alive! She promotes a healthy practice of memento mori and offers life enhancement resources and programs “for people who want to live on purpose, inspired, and totally alive.”
Jodi has a Master of Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) from the University of Pennsylvania, where she’s also an Assistant Instructor in the MAPP program and a facilitator in the Penn Resilience Program. Jodi is an ICF Professional Certified Coach and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. Her TEDx talk is called How Death Can Bring You Back to Life and has over 1.3 million views!
In this episode, Jodi and Dana Fulwiler Volk chat about how memento mori, peak-end rule, and the science of novelty can help us make the most of summer break (and why habits aren’t the be-all-end-all!). The conversation is filled with Jodi’s inspiring and energizing approach to life, with practical ideas to savour summer and avoid that classic, “it flew by too fast!” feeling.
